Bonnie Dixon

Owner |  Artistic Director

Bonnie's passion for dance is easily defined by her thirty five years of dance training and over twenty years of being a dance educator. As a thirty year Forsyth County native and a graduate of Forsyth Central High School, she loves being able to give back to the community that gave her so much joy growing up. Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Leadership with a Dance Minor from The University of Alabama. She is also a member of Dance Educators of Amercia, who through rigorous tests and demonstrative examinations certify only the most qualified dance instructors. Bonnie’s first professional dance job was at the young age of sixteen when she performed in the 1996 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony held in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing her Associate of Science Degree in Education from Georgia Perimeter College, Bonnie made the move to Orlando, Florida to dance professionally at Walt Disney World in a multitude of parades and shows. Her most notable performances include Woody’s Cowboy Camp, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade and the Disney Dreams Come True Parade at the infamous Magic Kingdom, as well as High School Musical at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While with Disney, Bonnie was featured in many vacation planning and marketing materials as well as many major network television shows such as Good Morning America, The Today Show and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. She was also invited to perform in industrial shows for Herabalife International. Bonnie is the former resident Choreographer for Forsyth Central High School and has choreographed over 12 full length Broadway style musicals including An American in Paris, 42nd Street, CHICAGO, Guys and Dolls, The Adams Family, Crazy For You, ELF The Musical and How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. Outside of the dance industry, Bonnie has been a Middle School Language Arts, Bible and History Teacher as well as a Third Grade and PreK teacher. However, she considers her greatest accomplishment to be wife to her Husband, Kevin and Mom to her very energetic son, Zach. To God be ALL the Glory and Roll Tide Roll! Psalm 46:5

Kali Bailey

 Assistant Director 

Kali Bailey is so excited to have been a part of the Footprints Dream Team for the past three years! Kali is the proud Mom of two beautiful children, Sophia and Bryson. Kali and her husband, Chris have lived in Cumming the past five years and absolutely love it! Kali previously danced for eight years, while simultaneously competing in competitive cheerleading for ten years. Her favorite memory is competing at the Cheerleading World Championships with Gymtyme Allstars, a well known and highly elite competitive cheerleading squad based in Kentucky. While attending college, Mrs. Kali coached gymnastics and fell in love with coaching the next generation of athletes. In her free time, Kali coaches and choreographs for the North Forsyth High School Competition Dance Team.

Mary Wiley

Company Instructor | Primary Program Instructor

Mary received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with a Ballet Concentration from Kennesaw State University. She received her pre-professional training from the Cartersville School of Ballet, where she now dances professional with the Cartersville City Ballet Company. Through CCB she has had the opportunity to perform in many classical ballets and in noteable roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker, and Snow White in the ballet Snow White. She has taught and assisted in dance classes and camps since the age of 15. Mary made it her goal through out her years of training to gain as much knowledge and experience as she could which lead her down many roads. Some of these roads include performing in musicals such as; Cats, Pippin, and How to Succeed in Business (where she also was assistant choreographer!). She also enjoyed many dance filled summers participating in summer intensives at Kennesaw State and The Georgia Ballet. Mary is excited to take on this year with Footprints, and see what the Lord has in store for her this year!

Catherine Smith

Company Instructor | Primary Program Instructor

Catherine Smith is so excited to be continuing her dance career at Footprints Dance Alliance. Dance has been a passion of Catherine's since she was a little girl. She can’t remember a time when she wasn’t leaping and twirling. Catherine began dancing at age 4 and hasn't stopped since. Catherine studied at a few different studios around the Cumming and Alpharetta area before finding her home at Footprints in 2014. Catherine danced at Footprints for six years, where she was trained in Tap (her favorite), Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Miss. Catherine has been the recipient of the Director's Diamond, the highest honor at Footprints Dance Alliance, where she also participated in the Teacher Training Program. Catherine graduated from the company program in 2020, but she never lost her love for dance or Footprints. Since graduating from Footprints, Catherine has been studying Architecture at Kennesaw State University with a minor in Spanish. While at KSU, Catherine joined Kappa Delta, and founded/served as President for the school’s chapter of Girl Gains, Kennesaw’s first female weightlifting club. You may also recognize Catherine as our former Head Counselor for our Footprints Summer Program. Catherine's love for children make her not only an incredible asset to the Footprints Dream Team, but an incredibly selfless young woman. Catherine feels so fortunate and excited to be able to work at the same studio that helped shape her into the person she is today. Miss. Catherine looks forward to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of Footprints dancers, and helping their Passion Find Purpose!

Dana Millier

Primary Program Instructor

Dana is so excited for another year at Footprints! A Forsyth County native, Dana has been performing and dancing as long as she can remember. Her journey with dance started at age 5 and has been a life-long love affair since. She graduated from Forsyth Central High School in 2014 as an International Honors Thespian. Dana then attended Brigham Young University in Provost, Utah where she received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood Development with a minor in Communications. Upon graduation, she returned home to Footprints as an instructor. Dana is passionate about dancing and performance, but even more passionate about helping children realize their full potential. With more than a decade's worth of experience working with children in educational settings, Dana is excited to bring her love of education into the dance studio!

Amy Kennedy

Master Instructor  |  Guest Choreographer

Amy began dancing professionally when she was 12 years old. She has appeared in numerous television commercials, live industrials, and musicals. Most of her summers growing up were spent performing at Lake Lanier Islands, Stone Mountain Park, Six Flags over Georgia, and 7 seasons in the summer musical series at Callaway Gardens. Other favorite dance credits include: the 1992 Closing Ceremonies in Barcelona, Un Ballo in Maschera with the Atlanta Opera, the New Year’s Day Spectacular at Royal Albert Hall in London, and a regional tour with Elton John for his AIDS Foundation. Amy competed regionally and nationally with the Barbara Bramble DanceCenter; and was a member of the Atlanta Jazz Theatre’s professional ensemble under the leadership of Dan Youmans. At Florida State University, Amy shifted her focus from dance to a career filmmaking. As a film and television executive, she has worked for Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Lary Simpson Productions in Los Angeles; as well as Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen Network in New York; and as a screenwriter, she is a member of the Writers Guild of America. Recently, Amy circled back to her performing arts roots, directing and choreographing children’s theatre at the Orbit Arts Academy in Sandy Springs. She is excited to be a guest choreographer for the Footprints Dance Alliance where she can share her lifetime love of dance with the company members.
